Description	Books on science and technology of organic polymer membranes are abundant But there has been only one book available today that exclusively addresses inorganic membranes and the book is an edited volume of individually contributed chapters. In addition, the potentially important subject of inorganic membrane reactors was only briefly covered. While an edited book provides useful information of the referenced technology� it generally lacks continuity in the treatment of the subject from chapter to chapter or from article to article. A fully integrated reference book with a more consistent and up-to-date perspective, better organized contents and easier cross referencing seems to be particularly opportune for the emerging field of inorganic membranes.
